The North End is the oldest residential community in Boston. Home to Paul Revere, the North End is also the birthplace of the Fitzgerald/Kennedy family. Today, it is a vibrant Italian community, with great bakeries and after hours cafés.
Old North Church - Christ Church
The oldest church in Boston, built in 1723. It was where the signal lantern for the Midnight ride of Paul Revere was hung.
St. Stephen's Church
This church was started in 1804 and is located on Hanover Street, the busiest street in the north end. Rose Kennedy, JFK's mother, was christened here.
Paul Revere House
The home of Paul Revere, the most famous gold and silversmith in American history. He is remembered not for his versatile skills as a tradesman, but for his midnight ride alerting the Minuteman to the approaching British and the start of the Revolutionary War. Built in 1680 it is the oldest house in Boston.
